Sweet Style: Vintage Dots

This vintage dress is one of my all-time favorites. I saw it a couple years ago at a booth Seattle’s Folklife Festival and
finally tracked it down for real this winter at Moksha, one of my very favorite Seattle boutiques. It’s something of a joke
that this is my “man-repelling dress” because of the huge ruffles, polka dots and overall playful childishness…which is
exactly why I like it!
On the theme of childishness, these socks were actually mine from about second grade (which just shoes how much
I’ve grown since then…) when I had an obsession with embellished socks. Lace, beads, pom-poms, if you can imagine it
I most likely wore it. I got rid of most of those socks years ago but kept these ones because the lace is so beautiful.
